I fell from the 3rd floor in 2022 and suffered a spinal fracture with nerve injury. Afterward, I had right-leg numbness, weakness and sharp pain from my calf to sole, with foot drop. I underwent spinal surgery with rods/implants in 2022. Over the next 2–3 years, my leg power and walking improved significantly, and I can now walk and even run. However, my right ankle and four toes remain weak. My big toe is completely normal with good power and full up/down movement, but I can move the other four toes downward, not upward.My right leg and one buttock have also become thinner/softer, suggesting muscle wasting.In 2026, the implants failed and were removed in another surgery. Since then, there has been no further improvement.Should I consult Neurology or PMR for my current condition? After around 4 years,  is further recovery of my ankle/toe movement and muscle strength still possible, or is the remaining weakness likely to be permanent?
