Hi,  your mothers problem  looks like a repetitive  strain injury, due to repeated household task,  you need to consult a muskuloskeletal physiothrapist to confirm it

Hello. Is you mother obese/hypothyroid or diabetic? Does she have numbness in any fingers/thumb. Hand/wrist pain can have plenty of causes depending on where it is. Best would be a face to face consultation so treatment can be commenced. Please see a hand specialist/orthopaedic surgeon. Dr M Vashishtha FRCS dr-MV.com
