Can any ophthalmologist know how close are we to actually treat and reverse serious eye diseases like amd, glaucoma, stargards, RP etc.. Is it possible to find cure by 2025 or will it take another decade.. Since majority projects are in lab phase
Why is it so that vision related problems have no cure considering it's most important part of body but other many parts of body have treatable diseases ?

You have to be a fortune teller to know if the disease will find cure in 2025 or a decade later.
Some of the condition you mentioned are genetic disease, so have no idea if other genetic disease in body are treatable..not heard at least.
Glaucoma is managed well in a good percentage of people.
AMD is like dementia if compared in body..age related issues...dont think it has any proven treatment in body too, Whereas in eye, ther is some management avilaible..
N dear, nobody is trying not to invent things , or find cure for eyes ..but genetic issues and aging has not been solved as of now.
May the future gives us something.

The conditions that you have mentioned are related to the nerve cells and related cells of the eye. Nerve cells once dead cannot be regenerated. The trial that you have mentioned is about the stem cell trial. However it's not yet approved. Hopefully it will be soon.
There are so many other vision related problems that have excellent and the most advanced remedies.
