Reflux is normal in babies . You can reduce it by following measures : 1. Burp the baby after a feed 2. Don't make the baby lie down flat after the feed . Keep a very thin pillow under his head and shoulder to get the head and shoulder raised at 30 degree and turn the baby towards his right side . This posture  eliminates gravity and facilitates the movement of the milk faster into the intestines thereby reducing the reflux 3. Two to three times a day ( never immediately after a feed ) put the baby tummy down and massage his back gently from top to bottom.  This moves the tummy wind downwards ( never leave the baby alone in this posture)     Colic is also quite common in babies and it generally happens due to air in the intestines which gets collected during feeds and troubles the babies at night . All above measures will help in colic also In case you are breast feeding , you could boil  some saunf ( fennel seeds  ) in your water  , tea or milk . This has a carminative effect on the baby too
