Reduced diastolic compliance

My father is about to get his right eye operated for cataract. As part of the routine checks he had to take an ECG and then an ecocardiography. The ecocardiography report mentions a condition of reduced diastolic compliance. Could some doctor educate me about what that exactly is and how serious is it? Regards, B Roy

Reduction in Diastolic compliance  is about stiffness of the heart ..which increases with age. It is a routine finding and does not bear important consequence as far as the overall pumping function of the heart is good. You may share the report and consult directly online for further clarification.Thanks.
