Radial nerve palsy - post humerus fract

2018-09-19 17:10:21
Dear Doctors My brother underwent a Distal humerus fracture surgery by putting LCP plate 2 months ago. Recently I went through a nerve conduction test and as per report there is a conduction block. Now my ortho doctor advising to go for nerve exploration. My concern is that is it too early to go for nerve exploration or should we wait. Also, is it possible that nerve is entrapped somewhere near the plate and owing to hand movement its continously getting stretched. Please advise next steps.

Please tell first what are the deficits...generally it’s a mild neuropraxia ...improves on its own...with time and exercises...early nerve exploration done only when there is clearly defined nerve transaction
