I needed to get PPD or quantiferon tab gold test done for admission to college in US. I did the latter and the quantiferon test can positive with results 1.26 IU/ml antigen tube and 0.04 IU/ml nil tube from lal pathlabs. I am concerned as college health form prescribes chest x ray for positive tb gold test. Should I also get a PPD test done? Is there a possibility of error in quantiferon test due to which may have been positive? I would like an appointment with you if possible tomorrow.  Have done x ray today morning and should have it by today evening. I have not had any symptoms like fever and persistent cough for as long as I remember.
