Psoriasis on elbow,finger

I am having scaly skin eruption on my elbows and also in finger knuckles. I have used various skin ointments but it doesn't subside although it seems to when you apply the cream. Secondly, when I try to subdue this psoriasis, I develop wheezing problem. Is there any cure for this psoriasis? Is there anything I should avoid eating?
