Proper time for a tablet

I consulted a doc in my home town, I am back to my City but I can't figure out what he wrote for time of a tablet . It looks like morning 1 tablet , but the medical store guy told evening and when I called doctor his secretary told to take anytime after food. Now it seems a vitamin tablet (zincovit) and online reading suggest to take empty stomach in morning for vitamin pills Now I am confused. What is right?
