Prolonged spotting  on birth control

I am a 43 yr old woman who started birth control after a year's gap ( Dornis @20). I took the pill on the 1st day of my periods and since then there has, been continuous spotting. The spotting has gone on for 3 weeks.  TSH and CA 125 are normal. 3 day course of Pause 500 has reduced the spotting significantly but the spotting is there. I am starting to get a bit worried . Kindly advise.
