Almost a year ago I was exposed to extremely hot weather and sun for few hours which led to my hands and feet swelling. This went away after a day but something significant happened as well. My eyes have started looking sunken after that very same incident. It's like I have lost under eye fat pads. And I also experience from dry uncomfortable eyes.
