Problems after heart surgery
My nephew is three years old and had a block and a hole in his heart. There was an open heart surgery on Tuesday. He is been kept in a ventilator till then. Today they said that there is some bleeding. Then said the child has seizures. Now they asked to buy epicetam injection. Why is this happening. Is this usual. The surgery was conducted in p.g.i.m.e.r Chandigarh.
Any open cardiac surgery is a major surgery and post surgery there can be multiple issues which can happen to any patient. That is why the intensive care doctors take care in the ICU and things change from hour to hour. Do trust your treating doctors and follow their advise. The baby will improve soon..
