as early as possible acc to gvt 3 and half month is recommended TT1st dose followed by the 2nd dose of TT after 4 week If there is evidence of primary immunisation with TT including the adolescent dose,then only one dose of TT is given during second trimester of first pregnancy. Thereafter vaccination with TT is not required in subsequent pregnancies. In case there is no proper history of immunisation with TT in the past, then two doses of TT are given during first pregnancy and thereafter only one dose is given during subsequent pregnancies within five years.
