Hi, I had a low anterior resection 4 weeks ago due to being diagnosed with rectal cancer. Recently, I have a had a hard time going to the bathroom and have mostly only been able to pass blood and mucus. Is this normal or should I seek medical attention?

Do u have a ileostomy? If yes then mucus discharge per anal is normal.. if it's very trouble some n associated with frequent visit to  bathroom, take lomotil tab
