Hello, my wife(32 y) had given birth a baby around 10 months ago. Post that she developed haemorrhoid and it's in small size visible outside of anus. From past 7 days she started getting some blood during bowel movement. Is there anything to worry or should we check it up with general surgeon. what I learned from various sources that after pregnancy it's normal and will go off automatically.

I would advise you to meet a general surgeon so that it can be assessed and staged. She may require corticosteroids, ointment, cream and laxatives as a medical treatment. These following steps may help: - Do not strain during bowel movements - Reduce weight as per your BMI - Exercise regularly - Eat food rich in fiber and bran based cereals. - Have laxatives for strain to be reduced during bowel movements - Sitting on a doughnut ring cushions can reduce the pain while sitting.
