Hyper pigmentation due to any pathology is titled under PIH i.e post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is temporary or permanent. With or without complains. Most of PIH, generally disappears only with sunscreen application, some may reqiures skin bleaching agents like kojic acid, Azelaic acid, arbutin etc as an topical application.....and very few requires aesthetic treatment like chemical peel, ipl or q switch etc.
