i think you mean to say retinal pigment epithelium. it is an important layer of retina. it's detachment may be self limiting depending upon the site and extent.take antioxdants. but it may also cause serious problems in future so be in regular contact with your retina specialist and follow his advice.
Consult a retina specialist with all your reports. PED has many causes but the most common are age-related macular degeneration and central serous choroidopathy. Treatment depends on the location, size and cause of the PED. Some PEDs can resolve spontaneously, but treatment may include drugs and/or laser.
