PHN pain suppression options

My mother is suffering from PHN since 6 months. Is there any option to suppress the nerve pain in long term? For example capsaicin 8% patch etc.

PHN is nerve related pain . There are many medicine available to treat this nerve realted pain if the patch is not helping
