Pedichrolyl side effects

My daughter is now 9 months old and she is on pedichrolyl from last 3.5 months. We give her this syrup during the night everyday. Please suggest the pros and cons of continuing it Bcz it is a sleeping drug which I am not likely to continue and now the stock is over as well.
