80% of time there is no reason for such pain and we call it primary dysmenorrhea.
But in 20% of cases there may be various problems. And in your case that might be the thing.
May be a problem related to infection of uterus and tubes also lead to such pains.
Get yourself checked by a gynec. And rule out the causes.
If everything turns out to be normal , you shouldn't worry.
