My father who is 67 years old having on and off hiccups since yesterday evening. He has undergone tongue cancer surgery two months back and is currently taking radiation therapy from past 4 weeks, two more weeks to go. His physician has suggested to get done ECG of abdomen, CBC and CPR tests to rule out any stomach infection. What could be the reasons for this? Please suggest
hiccups are due to diaphragm irritation which will be caused by different reasons.
You didnt mention what kind of surgery was done.
Anyway radiotherapy could be one of the reason. kindly follow your treating doctor medication.
