Ocular traumatic concerns

Hi doctor Actually I had a an ocular trauma which caused one of my eye to hurt for 25 days. I also experienced redness in the left side of scelera during this time and it caused me blurring in the centre as if water vapour obstructing vision. After 25 days, my pain actually reduced to 30 Percent and that's whan blurring cleared up significantly. The thing which is bothering me is that I didn't see an eye doctor during this time. Now after a month, I had slit lamp exam and dilated exam and doc says that everything looks fine. If doctors eye exam is normal, is it conclusive that I did not suffer any long term damage?. Are even the small damages to any structures or any changes within the eye documentable/visible on exam if patient presents too late to the opthalmologist. I am panicky as there could be untreated inflammation during the days of pain. So does normal exam clarifies that I am under no complication from that?or no risk for any future complication?

If everything seems to be fine right now on slit lamp and dilated fundus examination, you need not worry. But if it was a blunt trauma, it's better to get your IOP(Intraocular pressure checked every month for next 4 months atleast). Blurring associated with redness must have been either due to some corneal epithelial defect or uveitis/inflammation. It's difficult to point out at one particular diagnosis based on your description.
