Hello
I am very sorry to know your suffering.
Underweight - Normal - Over weight - Obese are a part of a single continuum. All are calculated with reference to Body Mass Index or BMI. For calculation of BMI you need boy weight and height. As you only stated your weight, it is not possible to calculate the BMI. But if your weight is even 6 feet that would mean that your BMI is approx 39.5 which may be categorised as morbidly obese.
Now coming to the solution.
a. You stated that you have asthma as a co-morbid condition, which limits your exercise capability. But there are some certain exercise which may not be problem for you, aerobic exercises, walking, hand movements may not precipitate asthma. You can try brief jogging, cycling after taking proper pre exercise asthma medications.
b. Dietary modifications. Eat healthy, stop all oily, fatty foods. Avoid alcohol, soft drink junk food. Eat more salad, water, protein. Reduce down starch content of daily meal ( rice, potato etc). Switch to safflower oil for making daily meals.
c. Last resort may be bariatric surgery only if all measures fail.
according to standard guideline indications of bariatric surgery are
1. BMI ≥ 40, or more than 100 pounds overweight.
2. BMI ≥35 and at least two obesity-related co-morbidities such as type II
diabetes (T2DM), hypertension, sleep apnea and other respiratory disorders etc.
3. Failure of other measures.
Hope to see you free from extra weights soon.
Thank you.
