Not able to hear properly after fever

My mother aged nearly 70 had typhoid fever for more than 10 days. She got recovered from fever but could not able to hear properly. Is it normal for this fever ? Will she be able to hear normally once she regains her stamina? Pls advice

She needs to visit an ENT specialist ASAP and also go through a hearing test.
