Hello,
For past three four years the lower part of my neck looks little swollen..all my thyroid tests show normal results..I haven't been diagnosed with hashitimoto disease.. my thyroid ultrasound done twice shows swelling in thyroid with tiny cysts smaller than 1mm..the doctors said that there is nothing serious about my condition and if I don't like the swelling aesthetically I should get thyroid removed..is it normal to have no disease but a swollen multinodular goiter? And is there no treatment for the same?
Have you got your free T3, Free T4 tests and Anti TPO antibodies done ? You belong to which area and any history of thyroid diseases in family ? Marital status, kid status ? Is swelling increasing in size or same ?
It is possible to have the normal thyroid function tests with thyroid swellings, consult ENTCLINIC, what is the size of swelling, which region is involved & whether it is interfering in any functions, further treatment/surgery, depends upon proper evaluation
