The city scan report of my uncle (80) has the following diagnosis report:
1. Possible subacute necrotizing pancreatitis with multiple peripancreatic walled off necrosis
2. Cholelithiasis
3. Bilateral renal cortical cysts, simple hepatic cysts
4. Mildly enlarged prostate
The patient otherwise appeared to be healthy, was active, does not drink, does not smoke and did not have any episode of severe discomfort earlier. Just a week ago he felt weak and a little stomach ache to begin with, which later deteriorated to a point that we had to admit him in a hospital. The doctor who is in charge of his case is letting us know that a major surgery is required but he left the decision to the family members considering his age and current condition. Kindly suggest what should we do.
