Hello doctor, I have severe neck pain, almost everyday, increases when m stressed. From past 15 days my neck pain is accompanied with pain in my shoulders and upper back, frequent tingling sensation on my shoulder line, also pain in my right hand, a kind of radiating pain. How serious is this problem. I haven't consulted any doctor, should I consult an ortho or neuro.To add on I am suffering from migraine for more than a year now. Migraine is always accompanied with severe pain in my left eye. A kind of pricking sensation. Is it a cluster headache? I completed a 3 months medication course for migraine. Kindly advice.

There are many possible reasons for your pain which has to be taken care....it may be due to Abnormalities in the bone or joints,trauma,poor posture,degenerative diseases,muscle strain,shoulder joint instability,dislocation...you may require investigations like x ray,MRI etc...Consult nearest orthopedic surgeon they will do the needful.

I think you should take an opinion of neurologist and as they advise, as for headache & cervical radiculopathy management both.

Hello, I went through query, neck pain with pain radiating to arm and tingling sensation could be due to nerve comprising in cervical spine, Causes include cervical spondilosis, cervical stenosis, cervical disc herniation. You need physical examination and some imaging investigations please consult neurologist (since you have migraine too).
