My son vomits after having food

My son is 20 months old yet he refuses to have solids ... we feed him meals in pureed form and still he vomits while eating atleast twice a week. Also i have observed that he doesnt eat more than half a bowl at one time due to which i always split the meals in two and feed him (which becomes total 6 times a day) Please advice if he has any digestion problems and needs medication or whether its normal in babies and will get better with time.

By 2 yrs he have normal GI system of well grown up adult,till then continue same,
