How did you discover the left eye vision to be poor? Was it by accidentally closing the right eye? If so, it is possible the left eye is a lazy eye since childhood - it may not be possible to improve the vision in his eye Now. However, if the vision has recently reduced it could be due to trauma or disease - an eye doctor should be able to restore vision . Do visit one at the earliest , not an optometrist.
