My Father Sees God Faces Slit

My Father had this problem from a very long time where he would see a god's face in a bad place(Bathrooms,Gutters etc) or slit in half or under his feet while he is walking. After he sees, he stops and apologizes profusely. He is also an alcoholic but usually someone who is in their senses. He says this puts him in agony and lot of pain(Mental) How do I deal with this?
