Hi Molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection much  like viral warts. It spreads by anti inoculation for example when you shave etc by micro trauma. It is a persistent infection and is better addressed early. The treatment is a very simple process of needling and curretage hardly expensive quick and does  not leave any scars. thought the infection is not critical it can spread from you to your friends or family and can be embarrassing
