Molluscum contagiosum
Patient is twice tested negative for hiv first on elisa in august 2015(for a healthcare hazard exposure) and then again negative on feb 2016 with cmia (with partner) for ?? molluscum frm nov 2015 as well as follow up for that healthcare hazard exposure.. thogh test was negative skin lesions are persistent... new lesion observed in this month in axilla.. what shud be followed.. patient apprehensive .. occurrence of molluscum lesions in hiv neg adults?
First of all we have to treat all the existing lesions with simple surgery or with machines.Chances of recurrence are always there with this disease as this is viral infection and if immunity is low.If lesions appear again we will have to do other tests to check the immune status,as hiv is only one reason for persistent molluscum.
