Medical certificate related problems

I was suffering from high fever for last few days..and for this reason i missed one of my college exam..the college authority asked to bring a medical certificate as a proof..but the doctor who examined me is out of station for some reason..and I don't know whether it is even possible to get a medical certificate from any other doctor.. can anyone help me out with some suggestions of what I can do at this condition??
