Lymph nodes or cysts?
I have lumps under my armpit that are very close to the surface you can actually see a slight raise bump. The doctor says they’re just sebaceous cysts from blocked glands. You are able to pick these up when I pick my skin up the doctor says you can’t do this with lymph nodes. I am able to pick them up with my skin. Can you confirm this is true? As with lymph nodes they’re more fixed. I have health anxiety and think they’re lymph nodes
Hello mam..... It's just a question due to anxiety I believe. Cos ur doctor has guided u right. The lymph nodes are deeply situated and are most attached to the skin. Also there should be some underlying cause for the lymph nodes to be enlarged. Whereas the sebaceous cyst origin from the skin appendages and hence are attached to the skin. Also it's more common in the areas with more hair like the armpits. So more likely it's that. U can consult me online for any more queries.
