Dear doctor, I had sharp chest pain on the left bottom side of the chest after which I quit smoking(4-year-old habit). The pain persisted for 2-3 days only and after a month, I am getting the pain again - this time in multiple areas on both sides of the chest. I also have a mild cramp like pain in the left back area. No weight loss or loss of appetite or other illness. Could this be related to lung cancer?

Smoking is one of the risk factor for lung cancer,not necessarily reflect lung cancer.you need to get a screening chest x-ray and PFT.you may even require a CT chest if needed.
