Lump in right side of neck's upper part

I feel pain to touch the area around my upper neck's right side. I felt a round lump there. I'm a bit scared. I smoke occasionally but when i smoke in excess. But i dont smoke daily. 7 times in a month where 3 times i smoke a lot. I want to know about the lump. It is something serious? Because im not a chain or a regular smoker too. Kindly help and advise me. Thanks in advance, Doctor.
