My partner is having extremely bad pains in his lower abdomen been like this for 2 days now, we thought it was due to needing to clear his bowel but the pain has continued to get worse.

Get  your partner clinically examinated by a general surgeon/urologist. Get a ultrasonography of abdomen .it will help to establish a diagnosis. If motion is not clear. A aperient like Cremaffin 4-6 TSF at bed time will help. Treatment of the cause is treatment of pain though symptomatic analgesic drug can be given to reduce pain
