I had my wisdom tooth removed about 9 months ago, and since then I’ve had persistent numbness on one side of my tongue. The numbness is partial and is associated with a pins-and-needles or tingling sensation, especially when brushing or when something touches the area where the surgery was done. The symptoms have not fully resolved over time. I’m concerned this may be due to a lingual nerve injury following the extraction and would like an expert evaluation and advice on possible treatment or recovery.
