He is just a new person whom I know from two months. He said he was diagnosed with blood cancer. He said he had been taking treatment for Acute lymphomatic leukemia for two to three years untill 2018. He says he became a survivor now. How many years will be the life expectancy of this person. Can this person get married and will he be capable of taking care of a family. Thanks and regards

It depends on the mainly stage of disease and age of diagnosis Children ALL tend to have good prognosis . In adult with combined modality of treatment including radiation and bone marrow transplant as needed in some case the prognosis can be 5 year survival nearly 50-60% . Regarding marriage , it’s a personal question , discuss with your partner regarding the disease and prognosis as explained by oncologist. Fertility can be compromised with some treatments of ALL like radiation and chemotherapy which also need to be discussed with your partner . I can’t comment specifically without full treatment reports , so should be discussed with your treating oncologist and then with your future partner .
