Laparoscopic surgery

Hello doc, I have undergone laparoscopic cystectomy for 7 cm dermoid ovarian cyst on 11th October. I still have pain on the incisions and the abdomen feels sore along with backache. How long does it take to completely recover from the surgery? Also is it safe to travel 20 days post surgery by flight to another State ? Thank you.

You should recover completely in about a month. The more active you are, the quicker you recover. Yes, it is safe to travel by flight.

Laparoscopic surgery pain typically resolves within 5-10 days. It is safe to travel by flight after 5 days, provided cleared by your surgeon. However, refrain from lifting heavy weights (heavy luggage) for about 1 month.
