Itp(immuno thrombocytopenia purpura)
My son age of 5 years.suffering with itp from last 3 months.he received ivig,steriods,omnacottle tab,azathoprine tab,anti D in.but still platelets count is 7000 only.what is my son position next i cont understand.when he received ivig than platelets count above 1 lack.now what is his condition please give me u r valuable advice.
I think most of routine treatment is received by your son. The treatment to itp is not one time job.. it is maintenance therapy, as and when you see dropping platelet counts you need to give injections. Maybe maintenance oral steroid for 3 mths can be tried.

1. you need to review with pediatrician hematologist once
2. need to review the diagnosis again
3. if the diagnosis is still the same maybe newer modalities or research molecules can be tried like eltrombopag or monoclonal antibodies.
