I'm 33 1/7 weeks pregnant, every thing is normal. My Dr prescribed me Betnesol injection 3amp. 2 doses to be taken 24hours apart. I came across the side effects of its mental retardation of child, so please advise is it safe to take the injection.

Betnesol inj only 2 inj at this time of pregnancy is at times given for ba ies LUNG MATURATION, if there is a risk of premature labour and delivery, so as to protect babies wellbeing. The side effect you came across should not occur with only 2 dose. Also if premature baby is born, it will have note serious outcome otherwise.
