Sometimes it develop on foot as well. It was diagnosed as Vitamin B12 deficiency and advised to get Renerve Plus injected. I still have the issue though Vitamin B12 has increased to 900 now from 200 earlier.

It is small fibre neuropathy. Have you checked your sugars and thyroid also. It might take some time for neuropathy to recover even after B12 is replenished, may be 3 - 6 months. Work up needed if it persists longer
