it may occur in women who have anemia i.e low haemoglobin levels, diabetes or thyroid problems. It is also common in women with high levels of a protein called prolactin in their blood...it can be the side effects of certain drugs like oral contraceptives,antipsychotics,antiepileptics...it may be due to poly cystic ovarian disease as well... So I would suggest you to consult nearest gynecologists for detailed clinical examination and evaluation they will do the needful.

Hi there..Delayed periods could be because of many causes like Significant weight gain or loss,Overexercise,Poor nutrition, anemia, hypothyroidism, Smoking,Eating disorders like anorexia nervosa,Increased stress, Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Delayed periods wit less flow is commonly because of anemia(less hemoglobin)I suggest you get your hemoglobin and tsh test done once. Have more iron rich foods like green leafy vegetables, pistachios, dates...to get periods take tablet medroxyprogesterone acetate 10mg for 5 days morning n night then within next 5days you ll get your periods.. Consult gynecologist once if you still don't get..
