  4. Insect bite. What ointments can i use?

I have got an insect bite and got red itchy skin in the bitten area. No swelling but the skin is reddish and a little black. What ointments can I use? I am currently applying T Bact ointment.

You may continue that for now . Icing the area may help. However since there's blackening of the skin of the affected area, it is highly advisable that you see a qualified dermatologist near you at the earliest.  Hope this helps.  Warm regards,  Dr Govind Suresh Mittal Bengaluru.
