I was bitten by a dog.

5 years ago I was bitten by a dog after biting me he has died.I don't know exactly after how many days my dog died.My dog was nearly 1 year old at that time.Can I take rabies vaccine now.Please suggest me I am very upset.Till now I don't have any symptoms.What should I do?
