I have been having cold and cough since yesterday, along with severe throat pain. I am not able to eat since morning. i have done gargle and drinking warm water.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. It could definitely be acute pharyngotonsillitis. It will take time to reduce. You can use something called a Betadine throat gargle.
