My 30 yr old husband is suffering from 101 fever and when blood test done has 16000 leucocytes count..what's it ..? Any infection ? Should he take amoxicilin or azithromycin ? He has cough too ..

If cough is also present along with high luecocyte count, so the likely source of infection. Azithromycin is enough. 500mg twice daily for 5 days.
