Just got positive hpv test with normal pap smear, was told to go back and get re-tested in a year, should i go back sooner than that? also, is there anything my boyfriend should do since i have no idea if i gave it to him or he gave it to me? and should i abstain from all sexual acts (oral and normal) until i get a negative test result?

First u go for colposcopy and if required directed biopsy if it's negative then only annual pap smear
