Don't be much tensed on this issue. Actually your pregnant body already  preparing itself for breastfeeding. That's one reason your  breast becoming bigger during pregnancy, your milk ducts and milk-producing cells are developing, and more blood goes to your breasts than before. The hormonal changes pregnancy brings to your breasts are sufficient preparation for most women. Don't rub or scrub your nipples ,  this will only hurt you and make breastfeeding difficult. Myth #1: If you have small breasts, you won't produce enough milk to feed your baby. Truth: Size doesn't matter The breast tissue you need to nurse a baby grows in response to pregnancy regardless of your breast size. Some times women don't produce much milk for three to five days after giving birth, but they do make a thick, concentrated liquid called colostrum and for the first few days, that's all a newborn needs. Breastfeeding reduces mom’s risk of ovarian and breast cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis. The longer she breastfeeds, the higher the benefit Teaching your baby the right way to latch on to your breast from the beginning is the most effective way to prevent soreness. You need to nurse every two hours around the clock—no more, no less—to make sure that your baby gets enough to drink. Eat a well-balanced diet for your health.Include protein foods 2-3 times per day such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, beans, nuts and seeds.Drink water to satisfy your thirst. Many women find they are thirsty while breastfeeding; however, forcing yourself to drink fluids does not increase your supply.Dietary restrictions from pregnancy do not apply to breastfeeding moms.Vegetarian diets can be compatible with breastfeeding. If you avoid meat, make sure you eat other sources of iron and zinc such as dried beans, dried fruit, nuts, seeds and dairy. If you avoid all animal products (vegan diet) you will need to take a B12 supplement to make sure your baby does not develop a B12 deficiency.
